When Daddy is home in the mornings before the kids leave for camp and Mama heads off to lab, he often gets little pictures of them on his iphone that he sends Mama so she knows they are having a good morning. So we thought it would be fun to see a couple of these pictures from the last 2 weeks. Here are Zachary and Zoe waiting for their ride on a chilly morning - so they had to wear sweatshirts. Notice that Zachary loves to wear his kippah.
Zoe decided she needed to dress for camp today and put on several purses, a homemade hat, raquetball glove and fancy shoes. No need to worry, we did remove the shoes before she headed off for the day. She is always so funny!

Picking Blueberries and Cherries
Mama took Zachary and Zoe blueberry and cherry picking in central CT. Yes, cherries do grow in CT. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun. We took a tractor ride down the hill and picked blueberries first, although they above picture is of the kids next to a cherry tree. After the blueberries we ate our lunch on the grounds at a picnic bench which was lots of fun. Then we drove to the cherry orchard, although Zachary was very worries as to why we were leaving.
Zachary and Zoe ate a lot of berries, although they tried to pick 5 for each 1 they ate. Both of them were counting at one point, but not sure how many actually made it into their buckets. No worries though we ended up with over 5lbs.
Missing Daddy a lot but trying to take pictures with Mama, we attempted some self portraits. Not an easy job since Mama has short arms!
More cute shots near the blueberry bushes. The kids did have fun, it was a good time although we missed Daddy who was working hard. It was nice to do a summer activity after so much rain. Tonights treat - berries and cream, what could be bad!

Big Girl Bed for Zoe!
Zoe Claire got her big girl bed this week. We can hardly believe what a big girl she has become. She had some practice in Florida on a cot, but now she has her own bed just like her brother!
The bed frame is part of the set from when Zadie was a little boy and it matches Mama's old furniture that we have saved for both Zachary and Zoe. We have fun pokla dot sheets and hearts on her duvet and a bed rail to keep her safe at night. Since she has been climbing in and out of Zachary's bed for so long, she knew just what to do (at night and in the morning). She was a little sad to see her crib go, but excited about her "New Bed" just the same.
All her "guys" slept with her, including the pink baby who wanted to be under the covers next to her. Also she had everyone, Zachary, Mama, and Daddy come in for a snuggle. We all thought her bed was quite comfy.
Zachary knows the rules about jumping on the bed, but felt compelled to test out the bed springs on Zoe's new bed anyway. We later moved the shelf you see on the wall in case the kids continue to "break the no jumping on the bed rule"
Good night kisses from big brother helped Zoe settle in for her first night in her new big girl bed. She came out a few times but slept in it all night and even had Winston (our cat) join her to keep her company. Hooray for Zoe's journey through this rite of passage.

Farm visit
Silverman's Farm in Easton, CT with Aunt Brooke and baby Nava. We enjoyed seeing the Thomas Train although you couldn't climb aboard.
There were deer, goats, sheep, donkeys, peacoks, chickens, pheasants, ducks, bison and emus. We fed as many as we could, although our hands were kind of yucky afterwards. The deer and goats were quite friendly and the kids enjoyed feeding them most.
The ducks were not so friendly and practically bit into Mama's hands to get the food. Zachary even tried to feed them, but was startled.
Afterwards, we all enjoyed our lunch at a picnic table since the weather was so lovely. Nava had fun being with her pals Zachary and Zoe and Aunt Brooke enjoyed herself and was an awesome photographer. Meanwhile the Daddy's were enjoying baseball at Yankee Stadium, so fun was had by all.
