Jackson moved in this week after the Vet gave him the all clear ... and so far he is doing well. He and Winston are getting along and everyone else is trying to snuggle him and make him feel at home. Here he is next to Zadie and Zachary who posed just before Shabbat. We can't decide who is cuter in this picture!
OK, Jackson is a cute kitten ... wonder how big he will get?
Zoe loves Jackson and needs to learn to lift him around the belly and not by the neck or paws - but her intentions are at least good.
Here we are at Zoe's birthday party in our backyard. It was a hit, complete with a Sesame Street cupcake cake and lots of friends to enjoy the day with.
Zoe also celebrated her birthday at school and Mama and Grandma Gaile came to share cupcakes with her class. It was so fun to see all the kiddies sing to her, and see her in her very own birthday crown.
That night, we of course, celebrated her actual birthday as a family - and here are the kids with Daddy before we sang!
Zoe was so excited about her candle - and she does pretty well at blowing it out too ... so cute.
Opening presents after her party, what fun and what wonderful gifts she received.

Jackson Bob Schulman ... JACK
Meet Jackson, our new kitten who we found under our front steps, lonely and hungry. He had a sibling here with him, but alas it has disappeared. So we felt that Jack needed a dry place and guaranteed food source so we brought him to our basement. Also a local group, SAFE, has agreed to help us with the initial expenses of making sure that Jack is healthy and safe to bring into our home and cohabitate with our current cat, Winston.
Also, in case you are wondering, Zachary named him Bob, but then agreed we could make it his middle name since everyone agreed that Jackson was a good name!
Jack is only 1 lb and about 4-5 weeks old. He is too young for some of the testing so he has to stay in the basement for now to protect Winston. We hope they get a long well though since the kids (especially Zoe) are in love.
Jack practically fits in this bowl we used to feed him, his front paws are in the bowl with his head ... wonder if he will ever get as big as Winston who is now almost 18 lbs and was 1.5 lbs when he got him 7 years ago.
See how little he is ... next to Betsy's shoe (which isn't big to begin with). Stay tuned for pictures of Jack with Zachary and Zoe.

Sesame Place
Here we are on the famous steps of Sesame Street .... we made the pilgrimage to the land of Giant Elmo and other monsters and overall it was a big hit. We did lots of things in the park, saw our friends (The Bermans) and our cousin Joshua and Aunt Rebecca and her Aunt too.
Zoe (our little Pixie) playing in and next to the flower beds ... aint she cute?
We took Zachary and Zoe on the Sesame Carousel for a ride (our final activity in the park). It was a lot of fun although both kids were both a bit skeptical despite their recent carousel ride in East Haven, CT (see previous blog entry).
Zachary really loved the water related activities at the park. He was quite adventurous (and wet) both days. Zoe dangled her toes a bit, but not much more.
Zoe was very excited to see Abby and Elmo as well as Big Bird, however Zachary wasn't quite as excited, but humored Mama by joining in for the picture. Daddy thinks giant furry monsters are a bit creepy but Mama didn't mind posing with the kiddies.
Mama and Zachary went for a float down the river (with the Bermans) but as the sun was starting to set it got a little chilly. Daddy had taken Zoe, but Mama didn't get a picture.
It was a race to see who could fall asleep first in the car ride on the way to Grammy and Grandpa's house after the 2nd day in the park. We think they had fun and played hard!
