For Zachary's birthday we went to a local park on the water and played in the splash pad and on the playground. Then we had a picnic lunch and went for a Carousel ride. It was a little scary for all the kids (even Zachary forgot how fun they were). It was Joshua's first time and maybe Zoe's 2nd. For the grown-ups it was quite a memory maker.
Here are Mama and Daddy (and Zoe) giving Zachary his birthday present -- a football.
Family pose before the big birthday party! Everyone big smiles.
Getting ready to blow out candles ... could he be any happier!
Zoe and cousin Joshua take a swing ride together in the afternoon after the party. Zoe doesn't even want to ride in the swing alone anymore. They were both singing, while swinging.

Family Visitors
Great Grandma Rita has been reading lots of stories to Zachary and Zoe - and they are really enjoying her visit. What fun they've had.
Baby Cousin Joshua arrived (and his Mommy) and Zachary was so excited to give (and play with ) the new toy we got him. Here is Zachary teaching Joshua how to play with it.
The boys shared a bath and bedtime stories (Zoe was already asleep).
The ladies learned to braid Challah Westville style ... it was great bonding time.
Look at what we did!

Camping Black Rock State Park CT
We took the kids to Black Rock State Park here in Connecticut. We camped out with some friends. The first 24 hours were great, but sadly the rain came into our lousy tent (which we have since returned) and our stuff got all wet.
Glenn got to do some fishing in the lake, and he used Papa Sol's old fishing gear. The boys (Zachary and his friend Arnon) got to watch and even help reel in the line. Zoe had to check things out too, of course.
Here we are walking across the bridge to the lake ... keep in mind this is day 2 and we hadn't showered so note the crazy curls on Zoe and Mama. Our friends are in the background -- Iris, Adam Arnon and baby Zohar.
Zachary and Arnon walked hand in hand to the beach area on the lake - what a kodak moment!
Zoe and Zachary loved swimming in the lake, they were fearless (especially since the didn't have their water wings). Zachary went quite deep and as you can see by his face, was really enjoying it. He will take swim lessons this fall we hope.
Mama and Daddy didn't put their suits on - but we still waded with the kids. We wanted to take advantage of the time altogether for some family shots to remember our fun at the lake.
Zachary and Zoe - got their first ice creams treats from an ice cream truck - Zoe got a Dora pop and Zachary a Spiderman pop. They were a mess afterwards but it was totally worth it.
Zoe refused to sleep - so here she is in her PJs sitting with the boys by the fire in her new red camping chair. She sure had fun, staying up later than she has ever before (yikes).
Stay tuned for pictures from blueberry picking as well - but too many for this post. Hope you are enjoying all the updates.
