For Father's Day Weekend, we took the kids camping! We had 2 tents, one for our stuff and one to sleep in. Zachary slept with us and Zoe had her own little mattress. It got pretty cold during the night but we managed to keep everyone warm. Glenn was also able to do some fishing, and even caught two fish during the weekend. He showed Zachary how to cast in the river and Zachary just kept saying, my dadd needs to go fishing. It was really quite fun. Enjoy some pictures of our weekend.
In this part of Connecticut, there are lots of covered bridges. Zachary was so excited as he has a bit of an obsession with bridges and tunnels. Zachary and Zoe had a seat in this covered bridge that is only for walking through near a waterfall we went to for lunch.
A special father's day ice cream treat!
Zachary had a great time at Kent Falls. He was enamoured with the waterfall.
Zachary tried s'mores for the first time, and he loved them, well at least the marshmallow and chocolate part. Some of the graham cracker was always left. He has been asking for s'mores ever since we got home too. For now he is falling for "S'mores are only for camping."
Zoe aka the cheerio monster ...
Zoe started saying Mama as well as Dada. But here is some video of her saying mama and clapping too. Stay tuned she turns 9 months old in a few days.
