1st days home for Zevi & Passover

When we arrived home with Zevi (thanks Zadie for coming to the hospital to bring baby home) Aunt Rebecca, Josh, Ethan, and Peyton were here waiting to meet their new cousin/nephew.  Zoe couldn't wait to hold Zevi again and show him off to everyone.  Ethan was also really into checking him out.

GG enjoyed having all her grandchildren together and spent lots of time snuggling baby Zevi which was very helpful to Mama as she settled back in at home.

Zoe really loves holding Zevi ... too sweet.
We also had to prepare for Passover, and the kids all really enjoyed doing the Bedikah Chometz (inspection for leavened items).  Zachary led the charge but all the kids found bread scattered around.
Our Seders were a big success.  Even Peyton got in on some of the action before her bedtime, sporting a kippah and Aunt Betsy's dress from when she was little.  Daddy had picked up a matzah outfit for baby Zevi to wear, and boy did he look adorable.  All the kids participated in our Seder, and their parents and grandparents were very proud.

Zevi meets his grandparents and heads home from the hospital

GG took care of Zachary and Zoe the day Zevi was born.  She spent lots of time visiting with him after his arrival and keeping Mama company.  Here she is with Daddy in our hospital room.
Grammy and Grandpa came to meet him and snuggle him.  They fell in love at first site!
Finally Zadie arrives just in time to bring Zevi home.  Daddy changed Zevi into his special "take-home" outfit and Zevi managed to pee in it before we even strapped him into the car seat.  Pretty typical for him it seems.

HOME!  Greeted by Aunt Rebecca, his cousins, and of course Zoe and Zachary

And then there were three Z's

Zevi Ritter Schulman (Zevi Reuven in hebrew) arrived early on March 21, 2013.  We didn't name him right away, but we are behind posting on this blog.  He was born at 6:45 pm and weighed 6 lbs 7 oz.  It snowed while Mama was in labor even though it was the first day of spring.  We didn't know what we were having and most everyone had predicted we were having a girl, but what a wonderful surprise to get this amazing and adorable boy!

just born, still in the delivery room

meeting his big brother and big sister and getting their present - a stuffed dog named "Yodeler"
They met just about an hour after his birth.  Both big sibs fell in love right away.
GG took care of Zachary and Zoe all day and then came to meet her newest grandson, now she is Grandma to 6!!!

Baby boy Schulman as he was known then on his first night
First family shot as a party of 5, when Zevi was 1 day old!

Gymnastics Parent View end of Winter 2013

Zoe and Zachary had fun showing off their gymnastics during Parent Viewing Week at their gym.  They both have improved their skills so much since starting last year, we are very proud.  Zoe showed off on beam and on the bars while Zachary showed off his hard work on bars and rings.  Their tumbling was good too, but hard to capture still images.  Enjoy.

more Purim 2013

On Purim day the kids celebrated at our Community Purim Seudah (meal) at our shul.  The food was yummy and Mama was very happy since she had helped organize the event.  The DJ, as always, was great and had dance contests and the limbo.  Can you see Zachary and Zoe doing the limbo - eek they almost kissed that icky floor!  They sure had fun though.
Zoe was the most beautiful light up Fairy - she danced (even on a chair) and she had so much fun that when it was time to go home she cried.  She sure can party hard.  She also used her friends face paint - she did it herself.  It was a very fun Purim!

Purim 2013

Purim 2013 - another great costume year - Zoe was a light up Fairy, Zachary was Harry Potter and Mama showed off her 8 months pregnant big belly as a cow!  Daddy wore his usual fun hat and added a special Purim bowtie.

Kids with their pals Purim night.

Happy Purim 2013!

Daddy and Zachary tinkering

We bought new phones for the house - so Daddy and Zachary took apart one of the old ones to see how it worked.  Pretty cool all those wires and buttons inside ... these Schulman boys likes to tinker.
