Kent Falls Connecticut 2012

Our camping trip to Cornwall, CT didn't go quite as planned.  We drove through a severe thunder storm and by the time we arrived there were several trees down, hail the size of marbles, and power was out around parts of town.  The power at the campground was out so we couldn't blow up our air mattresses, the toilets wouldn't flush and our reserved campsite was flooded.  So we ended up getting a room at a nearby motel and made the most of the weekend.  By sunday things were back to normal so we went to Kent Falls for a picnic lunch and a swim.  Enjoy these pictures from the falls.

Zachary was pretty adventurous climbing the falls - thankfully there were no falls or slips!

A glimpse of some of the falls we saw - isn't it beautiful!

Flat Stanley Final Project

Zachary completed his first poster - for his Flat Stanley project.  Flat Stanley went to Munich, Germany, Yokahama, Japan, Taipei, Taiwan, and Cambria, California (as well as Florida).  Zachary chose to do his project on the trip to Japan - and Katherine did an awesome job of sending lots of pictures and information for Zachary to use.  Zachary wrote (typed!) 3 paragraphs about Flat Stanley's trip and printed maps and pictures from the internet.  We thought his project looked AWESOME!

Zachary's 2nd grade Noah Play

Zachary's 2nd grade class at Ezra Academy performed a Noah play today.  Zachary played a dog, tiger and elephant.  Given that he isn't so interested in being on stage, we were so pleased that he still participated and did all his parts.  The play was cute, and the kids were adorable.

Zachary smiling as the dog.  Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures - the flash wasn't set right.
Zachary as a tiger on the ark - this was his big line, and he did GREAT!
After it was over - phew!  I did it!
