Sukkot, Sesame Street Live, Grammy & Grandpa's Anniversary and Baby Nava's Naming
Daddy helped Zachary and Zoe shake our lulav and etrog. The kids also have their own lulav and etrog they used at Shul but it was fun to shake the real thing and say the blessings.
Mama and Zoe went to see Sesame Street Live and Zoe had a ball. She was very brave and walked up to meet some of the characters who came into the audience. It was especially sweet that she and her friend Rebecca went over and hugged the Monster Zoe.
Grammy and Grandpa celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in New Haven. We gave them a special present and also made them a yummy dinner which we all enjoyed in our Sukkah. I think everyone had a lot of fun.
Uncle Yossi and Aunt Brooke welcome a baby girl on October 23. We were all so excited and here are a few pictures from her naming where she was given the name, Nava Devora. Mama was asked to speak during the service and Zoe wanted to "help." She is a beautiful baby and we are thrilled for the entire family.

Cousin Joshua's 1st Birthday Weekend
Joshua turned 1 ... and we had so much fun celebrating at his birthday party. Zachary pretended to drive with this hula hoop and Zoe got a beautiful rainbow painted on her cheek.
Zoe also sported pigtails - don't they look cute!
Doesn't Joshua look so cute on his big day. Zachary and Mama were so glad to pose with him next to the very fun moonbounce which Zachary did a lot of jumping in!
Here is the happy family at the party, and check out Brian's shirt - what a cute owl on there.
We all posed with Joshua's cake, a first time with everyone! Hopefully we will take lots more of these group shots as the kids grow and celebrate birthdays.
We also had a brunch to celebrate Grandma Gaile's birthday and here are Daddy and Mama posing with Zachary after cake. We were glad to get to celebrate GG's birthday as well as Josh's birthday.
Here are all the "original" Maller's and their offspring next to Grandma Gaile's birthday cake. Zachary looks a little perplexed here, but we swear he was happy and excited ... but this was a good picture of Zadie - check out his grin.

Building our Sukkah
So here is how it starts ... a metal frame which Daddy assembled before we came out. This serves as our "second home" where we share all our meals for the next week.
Zachary was really good about handing out the bungis to secure the walls of our sukkah.
Zoe tried to help too but was also enjoying hanging out in the yard while the sukkah was erected. She also played some hoops while we worked ... nice form on that dunk!
Mama poses with the kids inside the sukkah
Zoe liked climbing up the step ladder, athough we were a little nervous. Then Zachary climbed up behind her and we lucked out on this adorable shot. As you can see, Zoe was very excited and Zachary was thrilled with the entire experience of "building our sukkah."
Everyone say "SUKKAH"
Zachary was running around the Sukkah and playing hide and seek and we caught these shots as he came around the corner. He had so much fun and was clearly very happy.
stay tuned for pictures from cousin Joshua's birthday party ...

Bringing in Rosh Hashanah
Zachary and Daddy helped change the torah covers at our Shul to the special white covers. It was so exciting for Zachary. It was one of the ways we got ready for Rosh Hashanah.
We wore special new clothes to bring in our new year. The kids looked so adorable and behaved so nicely at Shul.
Winston and Jackson are getting along just fine these days (in case you were wondering). The often share their food and play.
Zachary and Zoe went with Daddy to pick apples to eat for Rosh Hashanah and they were sure to sample the varieties in the orchard so that they could bring home only the best ones. They also picked some end of the season berries, what a special treat.
Trying to hug while eating an apple ... somewhat tricky.
