New Swingset

So we all bundled up (even Zoe) so we could go out to the backyard and test out the new swingset. It was hats, mittens, long johns and of course our coats to brave the cold (although this day was pretty warm for CT in January).

Zachary really enjoyed using the swing. He wanted to go higher and higher. He also insisted that Mama swing too. Mama isn't so sure she loves to swing as much as Zachary does but she tried to teach him how to "pump" his legs while she was swinging.

Daddy got in the action pushing Zachary meanwhile since Zachary wasn't so good at pumping his legs just yet.

We were able to convince Zachary to test out the slide a few times too. He had a little trouble with the ladder up the first time but now we think he is a pro. He just needs more practice as soon as winter ends. He was so excited that we had to coax him inside and each day he stares at the window in hopes of warmer days and more swinging.

Zachary's all grown up

Zachary looks all grown up these days. He is talking a lot and is a very loving and gentle big brother -- see picture in Zoe is 4 months old. He is also a very funny guy, giving us things to laugh about everyday.

Zoe Claire is 4 months old!

Zoe Claire is 4 months old ... and she has changed a lot. Her cheeks are bigger - they sure are good for smooching on! She talks alot and smiles and laughs everyday. She is spending more time hanging out and less time eating (despite her dramatic growth).
She enjoys watching her brother do everything. Zachary loves Zoe and gives her hugs and kisses all the time.



Also in the last few weeks she has begun grasping objects. She of course puts them in her mouth which is a refreshing break from her hands.


Despite watching Zachary grow through his first year it is just as exciting watching Zoe do new things and make new discoveries. What fun this is.

Swimming in December?

Swimming in December? We can't do this in New England during the winter. Zoe's bathing suit is a true classic... Her mama wore it back in the summer of Summer of '74.

My First Blog

So at almost four months old I realized that I still didn't have my own blog. Starting today we'll see if my dad can help to keep this blog more up to date than the old website.
